The Christmas pudding myth…

by | Dec 6, 2015 | Latest news

There is a popular myth that plum pudding’s association with Christmas goes back to a custom in medieval England that the “pudding should be made on the 25th Sunday after Trinity, that it be prepared with 13 ingredients to represent Christ and the 12 apostles, and that every family member stir it in turn from east to west to honour the Magi and their supposed journey in that direction”.[1]

Well, here at Magnus Fruit Co. we don’t care for all that malarkey. To be honest if making a Christmas pudding was going to take that sort of effort we wouldn’t bother. But we do love Christmas pudding, so to make life easier for you we have pre-made gourmet cakes, fruit mixes and glace fruits for helping you get your Christmas puddings and cakes sorted.
